About the Concept: sara & fares
To validate our assumptions that parents and educators of young children were looking for values based content, we created a pilot/production test with two main characters Sara and Fares. With a youth audience of children ages 2 to 8 years old in mind, we piloted an episode featuring 5-year-old twins and their grandmother in their countryside home. The children learn a valuable lesson in giving selflessly and supporting one another; a lesson drawn from the holy Qur’an.
The feedback was overwhelmingly positive and ultimately set the foundation upon which the Aya and Yusuf series was built upon.
